FA CUP CLASSIC MATCHES

The FA Cup third round takes place this weekend, and with ESPN set to broadcast three live games, ESPN Classic is celebrating the magic of the world’s oldest cup competition. Every fan has their own special memories of the FA Cup, and these shows will recall some of the most dramatic and unforgettable. Saturday morning will see three hours focus on the cup’s greatest games, including the 2001 Final between Arsenal and Liverpool.
DARTS CLASSICS – EP 1: BRISTOW V ANDERSON 1987

The 2012 Lakeside World Professional Darts Championships start this week live on ESPN, and ESPN Classic will be taking the opportunity to run through some of the greatest darts matches from the 80s. The programmes start today with the 1987 Darts Masters semi-final showdown between three times champion Eric Bristow and Bob Anderson.

ESPN Classic takes a look back at the illustrious career of Frank Bruno, one of Britain's most loved boxers. Frank Bruno: The Early Years takes a look at the formative early stages of the fighter, whose career highlight in the ring was winning the WBC heavyweight championship in 1995 against Oliver McCall.
AN AUDIENCE WITH MUHAMMAD ALI

Muhammad Ali will turn 70 in January and to celebrate ESPN Classic takes a look back at 1974, when Ali holds a captive audience for an hour, to talk about his life, career and what makes him tick. Ali was interviewed by an invited audience in London where he spoke about his personal life, his religious beliefs and how he started off in boxing. The show took place when he was the world number one heavyweight champion with 44 wins under his belt and about to take on George Foreman in one of the most famous fights of all time.
