How Do I...

  • Set up my Wireless Router?

Plug in and follow the manufacturers instructions or our installers will set up for you.

  • Switch to Smallworld broadband?
Give us a call and let us know what services you’re interested in and we’ll help with any further information you need. Once you’ve decided on your package we’ll send you a contract for you to sign and return and then we’ll arrange an installation date with you.  Because we've got cable, no MAC code is required!
  • Arrange installation?
Once we know what package you’d like we’ll arrange an appointment for one of our engineers to come and get you installed. A thin cable will need to be run to a small modem at the front or side of your house – so an inspection visit may need to be made first. All our engineers are Smallworld people (not contracted out) and are fully trained to get you up and running with the least amount of disruption. Once you’re installed – you’ll be ready to go!

  • Control which sites my children see?
You can block inappropriate websites aswell as limiting the amount of time they spend online, with the parental control feature in the Trend Internet Security package.  See our broadband page for more details.

  • What are the advantages of Smallworld broadband?
Our broadband is our pride and joy! Other providers can’t compete with the speed we can offer because we use fibre optic cable. Virgin media is the other main provider of fibre optic broadband in the UK and their cabling is not in South West Scotland, Carlisle, Lancaster and Morecambe. If you live in these areas – Smallworld is your cable company.

With Smallworld broadband you’ll be ready to do whatever you want to do online – whether it’s TV streaming, watching movies, online gaming, networking ….. you can do it all – and fast!
